The people killed in Sunday’s shooting include:

  1. Cedric D. Gaston, 24, of Kenosha;
  2. Atkeem D. Stevenson, 26, of Kenosha;
  3. And Kevin T. Donaldson, 22, of Kenosha.

The three injured men in Sunday’s shooting have been identified by their ages and cities of residence as follows:

  1. A 26-year-old Kenosha man;

Sheriff gives new information

The department previously revealed the name of  the suspect, Rakayo Alandis Vinson, 24, prior to Monday’s conference.

However, Beth offered new details into Vinson’s arrest.

One of these details being that Racine County officers arrested Vinson after he returned a car he had stolen in Racine to the residence he took it from. That auto theft took place in the hours following the Somers House shooting.

The owner of the vehicle alerted authorities when Vinson returned to their residence, where Racine officers took him into custody.

From there, Racine County law enforcement reached out to Kenosha County, eventually leading to charges against Vinson here.

Still asking for information

While Beth stated he feels “pretty confident we have our shooter,” he didn’t rule out the chance that Vinson had been driven to or from Somers House by someone who could face charges.

However, that is something the department and investigators are still determining.

So far, more than 200 pieces of evidence have been collected from the crime scene.

“(Investigators) are piecing all this together,” Beth said. “There are literally hundreds of people involved in this.

… It’s a huge puzzle, an absolutely huge puzzle.”
