Kenosha County deputies and Kansasville Fire and Rescue responded to the scene around 4:25 p.m. Monday. Later, Union Grove Yorkville Fire Department and Salem Lakes Fire and Rescue joined them to assist.

Unfortunately, personnel discovered the remains of one person in the home during their investigation at the scene. The sheriff’s department is not yet announcing the identity of that person, pending notification of family.

Cause of fire unknown

According to Hannah’s release, the flames caused “substantial damage” to the home. However, current estimates are unavailable.

Likewise, the cause remains undetermined, and the investigation is ongoing.

The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department encourages anyone with information about the blaze to contact its Detective Bureau by calling 262-605-5102.
