ICYMI: Recent performances around Kenosha

KENOSHA ⏤ Recently, I had the pleasure of catching the performances of my friends Would You Kindly?, Violet Wilder and Spirit Shakers, as well as stopping by Rustic Road Brewing’s weekly mic.

Would You Kindly? and Violet Wilder at Kenosha Creative Space

On Feb. 18, the talented local musicians in Would You Kindly? and Violet Wilder took to the Kenosha Creative Space stage.

While many will remember that night for Googling the word “squall”, it also brought some unforgettable performances.

Above, you can listen to Violet Wilder perform their song “Woke” (also available at https://violetwilder.bandcamp.com/track/woke). Likewise, below you can find a second song by the group, “I Can’t Sleep”, as well as multiple songs from Would You Kindly?.

Spirit Shakers at Kenosha Fusion

On Feb. 19, the Spirit Shakers ⏤ the trio of the talented Oscar Mercadillo, Maxwell Melendrez and Eli Eastridge ⏤ brought their unique style to the Kenosha Fusion stage.

While you can catch them performing above, you can also see Oscar and Max each week Wednesday at the open mic they host at Public Craft Brewing Co.

The Monday night open mic hosted by Haven Wells at Rustic Road Brewing Company has always been a friend to solo acoustic acts.

As a result, this past Monday, plenty local singer-songwriters took the opportunity to use the space to showcase their talents.

Below, please take time to watch some of the sets from the Feb. 21 open mic.
