Today, and every Wednesday, local musicians can hang out and also share their talents with two Spirit Shakers at Public Craft. Oscar Mercadillo and Maxwell Melendrez are on hand starting at 8 each Wednesday.

You can find Public Craft Brewing Company at 628 58th St. in downtown.

Full bands and solo acts will both feel comfortable at the mic, and comedians will also feel at home.

Episode 1: 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' and 'Peacemaker' Spoiler Warning with Daniel and Koerri

In this episode, we'll be unpacking the many things to appreciate about the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe entry "Spider-Man: No Way Home". And YES, we will be talking heavily about the missing two-thirds of Team Spider-Man in the film's promotion leading up to its release. On the other side of the comics spectrum, we'll also be talking about DC's "Peacemaker" (currently available on HBO Max) and why it's so upsetting for it to be so good after first discovering the Peacemaker character in "The Suicide Squad". And why James Gunn deserves so much praise for how effective the series is in making the character sympathetic.

Thursdays at Kenosha Creative Space

Kenosha Creative Space ⏤ which serves as the home of creative endeavors such as Hot Mess Studios ⏤ has you covered on Thursday nights.

The local creative safe space at 624 57th St. in downtown Kenosha opens its doors each week at 8 on Thursdays for its Create@theSpace Open Stage.

Poets, rappers, country musicians, acoustic acts, full bands and also everything in between have graced the Kenosha Creative Space stage.

And a welcoming crowd has also met all of them. So don’t be afraid to stop by and see host Haven Wells on Thursdays.

If you’re stuck at home this week, you can still appreciate the local talent.

Below, please take time to listen to some of the performances I’ve had the pleasure of hearing at local mics and around the scene recently.

Please also consider supporting each venue by following them on social media.
