Ahmad drove a 2019 Volvo XC40 northbound in the 7100 block of I-94 when it crashed into a parked semi. The semi was stopped in the northbound lanes at the time of the crash.

The Kenosha County Medical Examiner pronounced Ahmad dead at the scene.

A 27-year-old woman passenger in the Volvo remains hospitalized at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee as of Thursday morning, according to a KCSD release

KCSD: Other driver uninjured

The driver of the parked semi did not sustain any injuries and is “cooperating with the investigation.”

Deputies closed I-94 northbound at Highway 50 for several hours as they investigated the crash scene.

The investigation remains active.

The sheriff’s department encourages any resident with information about the crash to contact its Detective Bureau. You can reach them by phone at 262-605-5102.
