The testing site ⏤ active from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days ⏤ will sit on the Kenosha County Fairgrounds, 30820 111th St. Organizers ask that residents seeking testing enter through the south gate of the main parking lot on Highway W.

Residents do not need to book an appointment to use the site. However, organizers encourage residents to register in advance at https://register.covidconnect.wi.gov/.

The National Guard will send residents their results within seven days, accessible via the Wisconsin COVID-19 Result Hotline at 866-419-6988.

Pleasant Prairie COVID testing site

Along with the Wilmot site, the Pleasant Prairie Premium Outlets, 11211 120th Ave., also serves as the location of a free, seven-day-a-week COVID-19 testing site.

The site ⏤ in the south parking lot of the outlets ⏤ is currently open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. It is also open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Illinois-based Northshore Clinical Labs operates the site.

Staff will conduct both rapid and PCR testing at the site, which is also to remain open through Feb. 28, 2022.

Freiheit: Get tested if you show symptoms

Kenosha County Health Officer Dr. Jen Freiheit also advises residents get a test for COVID-19 if they show any symptoms or have been in close contact with someone who is.

Getting tested if you are showing symptoms of COVID-19 or you’ve been in close contact with someone who has tested positive is an important safeguard to slow the spread of the virus,” Freiheit said.

Freiheit added that those who use at-home testing should be sure to seek a confirmatory PCR lab test if they test positive or if they continue to feel symptoms after testing at home.
