Kenosha police release image, seek ‘person of interest’ in death investigation

KENOSHA ⏤ The Kenosha Police Department has released the image of a man sought in connection with a death at a home near 75th Street and 29th Avenue Tuesday.

Tuesday night, police released an image of Roberto Andino ⏤ 5 feet 9 inches tall and about 240 pounds. Police are also seeking Andino on an unrelated warrant.

However, police are currently only labeling Andino a “person of interest” in the investigation.

According to police, officers discovered the deceased in the residence around noon Tuesday. Police had responded to the residence after someone had called for a welfare check after the resident did not return to work after the holiday.

While police have not released any details concerning the specific manner of death, the department calls it “suspicious.”

Vehicle, firearm missing

Officers also discovered that both a gun the victim owned and the victim’s car were stolen from the home.

The vehicle, a 2021 Kia Sportage, bears the Wisconsin license plate 753-YZC. If you see the vehicle or Andino, police want you to call 911 to report it. They strongly caution against approaching Andino on your own.

“Do not approach Roberto Andino or try to apprehend him yourself,” the department states in its release

Callers wishing to report a sighting, but also hide their identity, can give an anonymous tip by calling Kenosha Area Crime Stoppers at 262-656-7333.
