KENOSHA ⏤ Tonight (July 22), you can attend an event that will teach you about Native American culture and drumming, and also Creative Space’s open mic.
Up first, the Native American drum demonstration event will take place at the marina square near Southport Marina starting at 6:30 p.m. Al Orion RestingHawk will lead the demo.
According to the event post on social media, the event is intended to carry on the Native American drum legacy and to also educate others on their culture.
“We will also lay a blanket down for donations that will go to the 2021 Zion Pow Wow,” RestingHawk wrote. “Please come on down and help us keep the culture alive! Learn a little and laugh a lot. We will be right next to the steps at the new marina in Kenosha.”

If you wish to take a short break from music, you can also go and paint at Kenosha Creative Space starting at 7 p.m. for Create@theSpace. The event is a mixture of an open mic/jam and a creative painting space.
Starting at 8 p.m., you can catch the talents of local jammers and songwriters that local artist and musician Haven Wells hosts in the space.
The sign-up sheet is normally found near the front of the room. All are welcome to come paint, play or also just to listen.
