PLEASANT PRAIRIE ⏤ Construction is underway on additional turn lanes and driveway access for Kroger’s new fulfillment center on Highway H.

The project, located between 93rd Place and Bain Station Road in Pleasant Prairie, began on Tuesday, closing that section of the road. County officials expect that closure to continue for a month, they stated in a Thursday release.

Work on the project for Kroger’s new fulfillment center at 9091 88th Ave. includes:

Highway detour and residential access

As a result, a posted detour directs motorists around the construction area via Highway H, Highway K (60th Street), Highway 31 (Green Bay Road) and Highway 165 (104th Street).

Residents and business owners will still have access to their properties during the closure. Dashboard placards are being provided to businesses and residents who need to drive through the closure area.

If you need additional placards, please contact Construction Public Involvement Lead Rachel Andreoli at 262-977-0234 or also at Rachel@devorpr.com.

A project brief update including a map of the posted detour is also available here

At the same time, the county has “substantially completed” another project on Highway H between Highway 165 and the Illinois state line.

“That area is now reopened to traffic,” the release states.
