KENOSHA COUNTY ⏤ Today, Kenosha County Executive Jim Kreuser announced that the Rainbow Pride flag will fly outside of the Kenosha County Courthouse throughout the month of June.
The Kenosha County Board declared June as LGBTQA+ Pride Month at its last month. Sup. Zach Rodriguez brought the resolution to do so forward. .

In ordering personnel to fly the flag on the courthouse pole with the others, Kreuser stated that the county “recognizes and honors the diversity, heritage and contributions of our entire population.”
“Pride Month is a time to celebrate our LGBTQ community and the battles it has forged for equality and social acceptance,” the county executive said in a released statement.
“I am proud to fly the flag, a symbol of LGBTQ pride, above the steps of our courthouse.”

Likewise, Kenosha Pride Inc. President Dan Seaver expressed his excitement at the inclusionary step.
“It’s a great thing to see it happening,” Seaver said. “I think it is important in that it adds that line of visibility that this is a welcoming community.”
The flag will also be flown at the courthouse for Kenosha Pride’s annual August celebration downtown, Aug. 20-22, Kreuser noted.
This month, the Kenosha organization will host a benefit show at the Rhode in downtown Kenosha. That event will start at 7 p.m.
