KENOSHA ⏤ This week, readers focused on local protests and also now-retired Kenosha Police Chief Daniel Miskinis‘ statement on his disappointment with some citizens.

The former police chief, officially retired as of today (May 1), expressed his frustration in a post earlier this week.

Good morning, Kenosha photos courtesy of stringer Jordan Pauley of Pauley’s Pro Pics.

In his post, he decried pressures on the department to take actions he says it cannot and aggressive conversational tactics.

Activists also took to the streets for protests to decry the decision locally to not fire or charge KPD officer Rusten Sheskey.

Sheskey shot Jacob Blake seven times on Aug. 23, 2020. As a result, the city experienced riots for two nights, causing millions in damages.
