KENOSHA ⏤ Tomorrow, volunteers once again have the opportunity to help their neighbors and their community with neighborhood clean-up efforts in Uptown.
Thursday’s event will be held from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
It marks the second time that Uptown Kenosha Inc., Kenosha Community Health Center, My Sister’s House, Building Our Future and The Green Team Junk Removal have partnered for such an effort.
The group previously came together to clean up the Uptown Neighborhood on April 3. At that time, many volunteers were happy to come out and help.

We are completely funded by donations and sponsorships. As a result, please consider signing up for a one-time or recurring monthly donation to sustain our efforts.

Thursday’s clean-up is also part of a monthly effort in Uptown, according to UKI.
The group will meet at Dream Catcher’s Child Care Center at 6410 25th Ave. in Kenosha tomorrow, April 22. There, leaders will give out assignments of blocks to be cleaned.
UKI and Green Team Junk Removal are donating bags and gloves for volunteers. All bags will be left on the corner of each street for Green Team to collect after the clean-up.
Slush Lounge, an Uptown Kenosha Inc. business, is also donating pizza to the volunteers.
Likewise, Kenosha Community Health Center will be giving away care bags to the first 50 volunteers.
“This is great for KUSD youth to gain community service hours as well. This is a collective effort from our community to our community.”
