KENOSHA ⏤ I decided to record my initial thoughts following the guilty verdicts returned against Derek Chauvin for murdering George Floyd.

Because I feel like maybe some people are feeling a little in shock by the Chauvin verdict as, historically, this is just the fairytale ending for people of color.
Not the one we actually get when loved ones are taken from us, like George Floyd was taken from family and friends.

Because it’s justice. It is.
There’s joy in that. There’s rest and a sigh of relief in the hope in that.
But there is much further to go, and some of us are currently very tired.
