KDOG yields more than 3,600 grams of marijuana, $19,000 in Tuesday bust

KENOSHA COUNTY ⏤ A Kenosha Drug Operations Group investigation yielded more than 3,600 grams of marijuana and $19,000 in cash Tuesday.

According to a release from the group’s commander, Sgt. John Wilke, KDOG served a search warrant on a home on the 1000 block of 88th Avenue in the village Somers around 2 p.m. March 9.

Prior to Tuesday, investigators secured the warrant in conjunction with a narcotics investigation involving Somers resident David Kelsch, 32. 

The release also notes that, at the time of the bust, Kelsch was out of jail on bond.

Slew of marijuana charges recommended

As a result, KDOG is recommending a slew of drug charges for Kelsch ⏤ currently being held in Kenosha County Jail.

By Thursday afternoon, the Kenosha County District Attorney’s office had leveled 16 charges against Kelsch, including:

Kelsch appeared in court for the first time on the charges Thursday afternoon.
