EDITOR'S NOTE: Some of the songs this week do have swear words and adult language in them. If that is not your bag, it is best to avoid No. 1 and No. 3 ⏤ though, honestly, you'll be missing out on some great talent. ⏤ Daniel
KENOSHA ⏤ Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone. Welcome to another round of highlighting Kenosha artists.
Hopefully, you are enjoying your morning so far. If not, we hope this playlist will help.
Below please find this week’s featured artists for #SaintsRadioSunday. Founder Daniel Thompson selected this week’s picks.
1. Brian Lockwood at Slip 56 (March 3, 2020)
Every now and then there comes a musician out of nowhere who instantly endears themselves to you. Brian Lockwood is one of those artists.
Brian came to Kenosha from the East Coast. Originally, his stay was temporary. However, he loved the Kenosha music scene so much that he extended his stay.
Of course, COVID-19 shut down the local music scene for a time, and to be honest, I haven’t seen Brian around in a very long time.
But, regardless of where he is, please take a few minutes to enjoy Brian’s smooth voice and unique style below.

Violet Wilder is perhaps one of the most lovely bands you’ll ever hear live.
The trio of Kimberly Hetelle, Melissa Hardtke and Jayna Rouse has mastered the art of harmonizing and happen to have perfectly complementary voices.
This bathes each song that they perform in a consistent balance of harmony regardless of what instruments are involved. And that’s not said to belittle their instrumental skill. All three members are also masterful musicians on various instruments.
Quite simply, they are the full package.
Please, check out their performance for “All WE Need is Love” last night at Kenosha Creative Space below.
3. Vinny Del-Neegro – ‘Pain Away Remix’
If you haven’t encountered Vinny Del-Neegro in some way, you probably haven’t been around the local music scene long.
Part poet, part rapper and part comedian in personal circumstances, Del-Neegro is a different style of talent in Kenosha ⏤ the thoughtful rapper, of which we have many, who often gets relegated to shows in parts of town that don’t receive the attention they deserve.
That being said, please take some time to listen to Del-Neegro’s newest posted song, “Pain Away Remix,” below.
4. Would You Kindly? – Gina and Paul impromptu song (Dec. 7, 2020)
I first encountered Paul Hoskins and Gina DiSalvo at Sazzy B in Kenosha a few years ago. Back then, the two were simply an acoustic duo.
Paul led the melody with his strong guitar skills ⏤ with a percussion element to his playing because of his drumming background. Gina wowed the audience with her vocal range and control.
Then, the band started to grow and grow in dynamics and sound. And it has been truly interesting and exciting to watch Would You Kindly? grow up in the scene.
However, the truth is at the core of the band is a love story ⏤ the one between Paul and Gina.
Therefore, please watch this video of the pair playing an impromptu song during their engagement photoshoot back in December 2020.
Josy Rosales of Earthmother (Sept. 23, 2019)
Let me rip off this band-aid right away: Josy Rosales of Earthmother is hands down one of the best all-around artists in the Kenosha area.
Josy is a trained musician who can most often be seen on the guitar while performing with his band. However, Josy plays more instruments than anyone probably even realizes.
For example, Josy taught himself how to play the banjo out of boredom. And not just play it decently. He can play the banjo now as if he’s done it for years.
That’s his level of talent.
And it’s not just that he’s so talented that draws people and crowds to him.
It’s that he’s so nice and kind and such a positive person to encounter that you can’t help but like him.
Check out him performing at Rustic Road in September 2019 below.
