KENOSHA COUNTY ⏤ County Board supervisors will hold meetings tonight in two groups ⏤ one focusing on racial equity, the other on law.
The Kenosha County Racial Equity Work Group ⏤ led by Dist. 16 Supervisor Jerry Gulley ⏤ will kick off the meetings with its virtual discussion starting at 5 p.m.
The meeting will be accessible for public monitoring by calling 1-408-418-9388 and using Access Code 146 424 1955.
Judiciary and Law Enforcement Committee
The county’s Judiciary and Law Enforcement Committee will meet at 6 p.m., according to the Kenosha County website calendar.
That meeting, too, will be accessible for public monitoring by calling 1-408-418-9388 and using Access Code 146 426 6393.
On the committee agenda
On the law committee’s agenda tonight is a request from the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department to accept a grant award from Wisconsin Emergency Management.
That $3,500 grant will cover part of the costs to “purchase the upgraded communication trigger for the Smart Ray Vision X-Ray System,” according to supporting documents.
As a result, the department’s bomb squad will benefit from the upgrade.
The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department is also slated to update the committee on getting body cameras for its deputies.
