About The Uptown Observer

Quite succinctly, Kenosha, Wisconsin-based journalist Daniel Thompson, formerly of Kenosha News, created The Uptown Observer, a news media site, in the fall of 2020.

The Observer’s focus is on community news, the Kenosha music scene, photography and what we call “Humanity-Centered Stories” ⏤ pieces focusing on the feelings, thoughts and experiences that we all share as human beings.
